3 Ways to Request an Informal Assessment Review

+ Call the Department of Assessment at 607-274-5516 up to the day before the last day for appointments (assuming that there will be next-day availability). You will be scheduled for a 10-minute phone call where you can present your information to one of our professional appraisal staff members.  Supporting documentation can be emailed to assessment@tompkins-co.org before the call or can be emailed directly to the appraiser after the meeting.

+ File an online application and upload supporting documentation.

+ Complete the paper application that is located on the back of the Impact Notice and return it to the Tompkins County Assessment office.

A member of the professional appraisal staff will review the documentation and they will contact you with any questions or if an interior inspection is warranted. The deadline to file an Informal Assessment Review is April 12, 2024.
