NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN, that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Newfield for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2017 has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk of said Town, where it is available for inspection by interested person between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday , Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that the Town Board of said Town will meet and review said Preliminary Budget and hold a public hearing at the Newfield Town Hall, 166 Main Street, Newfield, New York, County of Tompkins on November 10, 2016 at 6:45 p.m. At such hearing any persons may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as presented. Pursuant to Section 107 of Town Law, the proposed maximum salaries for the following town offices are hereby specified as follows:Supervisor$13,650, Councilperson(4) $10,000(2,500 each),Town Clerk $34,666, Highway Superintendent $69,750 and Town Justice $10,500.
